1. Emirates Orders 15 Additional Airbus A350 Aircraft

Emirates recently announced that the airline has ordered 15 additional Airbus A350-900s at the Dubai Airshow 2023. This means that the total has now risen to 65 units. And it so happens that the first of such aircraft is expected to join Emirates’ fleet in the August of 2024. So, with these additional orders, the airline will receive A350 deliveries till early 2028. Moreover, these also include the order for 95 additional Boeing aircraft.

2. Qatar Airways Privilege Club Announces Partnership With Monoprix Qatar

Qatar Airways Privilege Club recently announced a new partnership with Monoprix Qatar, a well-known hypermarket brand. As it happens, members can now also collect and spend their Avios when shopping at any of the seven Monoprix and three Monop stores in Qatar. This will be available through their loyalty programmes!

3. Dubai Police Unveils The Lamborghini Urus Performante

Dubai Police revealed that it has now added a new luxury car to its famous fleet of supercars. Yes, making this announcement on X (formerly Twitter), it was revealed that the authority has now added the Lamborghini Urus Performante to its slew of cars. Not to mention, this major reveal was made during the Dubai Airshow, which concluded on November 17.

4. Coffee Exhibition In Dubai To Happen In January 2024

Recently it was revealed that the Coffee Exhibition is scheduled to begin in Dubai. It will be happening from January 21 to 23, 2024 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Moreover, the aim of the event is to connect coffee producers, manufacturers, retailers, and traders from the region and of course, other parts of the world. Additionally, they aim to support the growth of the sector, through the event.

5. Dubai RTA Announces 73rd Online Auction For Fancy Number Plates

The Dubai Roads & Transport Authority recently took to its official account on X to announce that it will be hosting an online auction. Yes, this is for people who wish to obtain a fancy number plate! So, with a chance to obtain one of the 350 fancy number plates, the 73rd online auction will be organised. Moreover, the registered bidders will stand a chance to get number plates of 3, 4, and 5 digits for private vehicles. As it happens, the bidding will begin at 8 AM on November 20, Monday.

6. Parents Advised To Stay Vigilant Amidst Rising Cases Of Flu & Cold

The waterlogged streets due to the unprecedented rains in Dubai over the weekend have flooded the internet. And now, according to a recent report by Khaleej Time, it was mentioned that there’s a rise in the number of incidents of cold and flu in children. This could be due to the rainy weather and water-borne pathogens and bacteria. As a result, parents have been advised to stay vigilant and take note of the symptoms that their children might exhibit.

7. Dubai Airshow Dates For 2025 Announced

After the conclusion of the 2023 edition, the official handle of the Dubai airshow on X (formerly Twitter) announced that they would be back again. Yes, it was revealed that the Dubai Airshow will be back for the next edition in 2025. Not to mention, they also revealed the dates for the new edition in their post, mentioning that the event has been scheduled from November 17 to 21.

8. Louvre Abu Dhabi Is Hosting Cartier, Islamic Inspiration & Modern Design Exhibition

There’s an ongoing exhibition happening at the Louvre Abu Dhabi. Yes, therein, visitors will be able to explore the ‘Cartier, Islamic Inspiration and Modern Design,’ an international exhibition. During this, they will get to explore the Maison’s sources of inspiration and its creative process. As it happens, this exhibition features more than 400 works! It includes everything from jewellery and precious objects to drawings, textiles, and even photographs. It’s worth mentioning that the exhibition will be open till March 24, 2024.

9. Ras Al Khaimah To Dubai Mall Public Bus Services Begins

Starting on November 17, the bus service between Ras Al Khaimah and Dubai Mall is now operational. Yes, this has been launched through a cooperation between Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority and the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority and the Dubai Mall management. It should be noted that the service will be available on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with two round-trip trips daily. As it happens, the trips depart from the main bus station in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah and go up to the public bus stops in Dubai Mall. The cost of a one-way ticket is AED30.

10. Al Faya Dunes Closed By The Sharjah Police

Following a tragic incident in which a youth lost his life in an off-roading accident, the Sharjah Police has closed the Al Faya Dunes. Yes, the General Command of Sharjah Police revealed that this has come as a result of the lack of compliance with security rules and guidelines. It’s worth mentioning that this serves as a warning to vehicle owners, who are involved in such activities. And so they’re urging them to strictly comply with laws.
