1. Bus Routes For Dubai Global Village Have Been Announced By The RTA

As the Global Village Season 28 begins on October 18, it was announced by the Dubai RTA, that four routes for this attraction will open on October 18. In case you’re wondering, these routes will be as follows – Route 102 which will be from the Rashidiya bus station, Route 103 which will be from the Al Ittihad bus station, Route 104 from the Al Ghubaiba bus station, and Route 106 which will be from the Mall of the Emirates bus station.

Hasan Raheem is a popular Pakistani singer, known for belting out hits like Faltu Pyaar, Joona, and Sweetu. Russell Peters is one of the most popular comedians in the world. And this comedian is coming to the Yas Island in November. His show is scheduled to take place on November 23, Thursday at the Etihad Arena and tickets for the show will be going live on October 13, Friday. Yes, these will be available for bookings from 12 PM onwards. In case you weren’t aware, his most recent tour The Deported World Tour covered 40 cities across the world.

5. A Driverless Racing Event To Happen In The UAE

Driverless cars are not a new concept in the UAE, but what’s new is the upcoming race for autonomous vehicles. Happening for the first time next year, 10 institutions will be taking part in this competition. It is going to be held on October 28, 2024 in Abu Dhabi and it will also be the world’s largest racing of autonomous cars. In the race, teams will have to be on track two weeks ahead of the race and practice full-time. After this, during the live race, they will be competing against one another for the title of the winner.

6. 1000 Poets To Attend Upcoming Abu Dhabi Poetry Festival

Recently, it was announced that Abu Dhabi Poetry Festival is making its way to the emirate. And now, what’s said to be the largest celebration of Arabic poetry, will see over 1,000 poets attend this event. They will be showcasing a varied range of styles, which includes Nabati and classical Arabic poetry. As it is being organised under the patronage of Sheikh Khalid Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who is the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and the Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council. The poetry festival will begin on Thursday, October 12 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.

7. There’s An Ongoing Peninsula Horses World Championship Festival

There is a Peninsula Horses World Championship Festival that’s happening this week in Riyadh. It’s already begun and it will be going on till October 14 at the breathtaking Nofa Riyadh. This is a Radisson Collection Resort and the event is happening under the direct supervision of King Abdulaziz Arabian Horse Centre.

The festival will feature fantastic events, such as free shows about Arabian Knight identity, photography, horse auction, art auction, international operetta, and visual arts, to name a select few. In case you’re wondering about the tickets, these are available for SAR187 and can be booked online.

8. Earthquake Of Magnitude 1.6 Detected In Dibba Area Of The UAE

A mild earthquake of 1.6 magnitude hit the Dibba Area of the UAE. The mild tremors were felt by the people in Fujairah at around 6:18 AM. Many people even took to their social media accounts to mention about the same. It was also revealed that some people even felt tremors in the Al Badia area.

9. Virgin Atlantic To Resume Flights To Dubai Later This Year

Virgin Atlantic, is planning to resume its flights to Dubai later this year. Yes, this British Airline announced this decision back in June, and it will resume direct flights between London Heathrow and Dubai in October. So, if someone is planning to visit their families in the coming festive season, then they have the option to book a flight ticket with Virgin Atlantic as the flight will take off on October 28.

10. Etihad Flights To Israel Remain Cancelled

As the situation sees no de-escalation at the moment, Etihad Airways has continued to keep their flight cancelled. As it happens, several UAE airlines are taking a varied approach to the situation, such as the Emirates is keeping up with its daily operation of three flights to Delhi. While flydubai cancelled its flights on Saturday, it resumed its operation operations again the next day.

It’s just been mid-week, so, this means there will be many more updates coming in the next few days.
