1. Speed Limit Reduced On Al Garhoud Bridge
Dubai’s #RTA and the Dubai Police General Headquarters decided to reduce the speed limit on Al Ittihad Road, between Sharjah and Al Garhoud Bridge, from 100 km/h to 80 km/h, effective November 20, 2023.

According to a recent tweet by Dubai RTA on X (formerly Twitter) it was revealed that the speed limit on the Al Ittihad Road, between Sharjah and Al Garhoud Bridge has been reduced. Yes, from the previous 100 km/h, it now stands at 80 km/h. As it happens the new speed limit will be effective from November 20, 2023! Moreover, the decision has been taken by the Dubai Police General Headquarters.

3. Miral Group To Expand Yas Waterworld

It was recently revealed the Miral Group is planning to expand the Yas Waterworld by announcing a 16,900 square metre expansion. With the completion expected to happen in 2025, there will be an addition of 3.3 km, as a result, it will grow by 20 per cent. Not to mention, there will be 18 new rides and attractions that will take the total at the park to 60! Did you know the waterpark will include the UAE’s highest slide? Yep, and this will also be the GCC region’s first water park ride integrated within a waterslide complex!

One of the most awaited events, there will be more than 100 events and workshops that will open and be free to the public at the Cop28 Green Zone. Located in Expo City, which is Dubai’s Sustainability District, people will require a pass if they wish to visit between December 3 and 12. However, it’s worth noting that it is free of charge and provides one-time access on a given day! Moreover, the gates to the Expo City Dubai will open at 9 AM and shut at 10 PM, every day.

On the opening day of the Dubai Airshow, Qatar Airways displayed its new generation Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. Called the Airbus A350-1000 and Gulfstream G650ER, these aircraft have certainly been the talk of the town. Not to mention, visitors also had an opportunity to check out the Qatar Airways’ chalet where they got to explore the cabin’s latest innovations and even passenger offerings.
6. 3Fils Launches LTD Edition Dishes & Beverages

3Fils, which is located in Jumeirah Fishing Harbour has launched two new limited-edition dishes and three refreshing beverages! The three new beverages include three unique flavours of kombucha. These dishes include the following indulgent options –
- Donburi Bowl of Unagi No Kabayaki (read grilled Japanese freshwater eel) that’s been drizzled with an umami-rich Unagi Tare and topped with crushed crispy garlic, lime zest, and spring onion. It is then served on a bed on white steamed rice that’s been sprinkled with plum sesame seeds.
- The Cure is a dish made with maitake mushrooms that have been dipped in tare and grilled over Japanese oak charcoal. It’s then drizzled with wakame oil (seaweed) and sprinkled with sesame seeds, after which it’s garnished with chives.
7. Movie Night Under Stars At Sofitel Dubai Downtown
If you’re a movie buff then the good folks at Sofitel Dubai Downtown have got something special planned for you. They’re organising something called ‘Movie Night Under the Stars’. Therein, you get to take your seat and watch 90’s classic movie, Forrest Gump, against the backdrop of the stunning Burj Khalifa and the sparkling Dubai skyline. Happening on Thursday, 16th November it will begin at 7 PM and the cinematic soirée is priced at AED75 per person. Not to mention, it is fully redeemable towards F&B!
