1. Air India Express Reinstates Flights To West Asia

Air India Express, the international value carrier, announced the reinstatement of operations to Qatar and Bahrain. These are, along with the additional flights to Oman, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia. It began on April 30th, and flights resumed to Indian metros. As such, Air India Express would continue operating to cities of Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Jeddah, Riyadh, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, and Muscat.

2. Dubai Airports To Ramp Up Operations

As revealed on X by Dubai Airports, the UAE airspace has now been fully restored. And so, they’re now scaling up the operations. This would be for an increase in flight movements, and it would be in line with the available regional routing capacity. The airports also revealed how they remain operational and adaptable by supporting a safe journey. Yes, over 6 million guests and more than 32,000 aircraft movements happened through DXB and DWC airports.

3. Sheikh Mohammed Launches The Start Of The Tunnel Boring Machine Operation

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is the Ruler of Dubai, launched the start of the operation of the tunnel boring machine. This would mark the launch of the tunnel works for the Dubai Metro Blue Line. As it happens, His Highness inaugurated the tunnel works for the Dubai Metro Blue Line project, and it is estimated to cost AED20.5 billion. The line would span 30 km and would serve nine districts.

4. Jazan Municipality Begins Development Of King Fahd Road Park

Recently, SPA revealed how the Jazan Municipality has begun the development of King Fahd Road Park. This is in Jizan City, and it spans 8,440 m². It is a part of the ongoing efforts to elevate the urban landscape. Not to mention, this would also improve the quality of life with the creation of a modern destination that combines leisure, sports, and integrated services.

5. Jazeera Airways Resumes Flights To India

Jazeera Airways, which is a Kuwait-based airline, has resumed its first direct flights from Kuwait to India. This resumption comes after flights had been paused since February 28th. Now the airline is making weekly plans to see how the situation in the region evolves. As revealed in a report of MSN, Gulf Air also began operating flights between Bahrain and several destinations in India since April 21st.
