Autonomous taxi service is being operated in partnership with Apollo Go and WeRide. Passengers can book their vehicles through the Uber and Apollo Go mobile apps in Dubai. Taking to X, Dubai RTA announced that the next ride could be autonomous! The post further mentioned how it is currently free. The public launch of the service comes after an announcement was made earlier. The commercial rollout of autonomous taxis in Dubai will begin with the first phase. Yes, and this would introduce 100 autonomous vehicles into the transport network of the emirate. As further revealed by Gulf News, this fleet is expected to expand gradually over the coming years.
