Dubai Unveils AED4 Billion Al Layan Oasis Tourism Project With Lake Trails & Camping Experiences

Dubai is going all out on the launch of a massive tourism project, again. Al Layan Oasis, a desert tourism project aiming to transform wide-open sands into one of the region’s most exciting eco destinations in Dubai. HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid revealed the plan as part of an AED4 billion package focused on green and water-based developments.

Dubai’s Al Layan Oasis Desert Tourism Project  Set To Transform Eco Travel

According to a report by Gulf News, the Al Layan Oasis project will stretch across 10 million square feet with a 2.5-million-square-foot lake sitting right in the centre. Visitors will find sports trails, camping areas, and leisure spaces surrounding it,  designed to offer an unprecedented desert tourism experience.

A Lake, Trails And Elevated Desert Views

Al Layan Oasis will feature 14 kilometres of walking and cycling tracks, out of which 4 kms of those tracks will rise five metres above ground level. This offers sweeping views of the oasis and the surrounding desert to the visitors.

The development will also include 1,000 parking spaces and integrated infrastructure to handle steady visitor traffic. Located around 50 minutes from Dubai’s city centre, the oasis will act as a key pitstop along Dubai’s caravan route and connect with existing tracks in Al Marmoom.

Four Zones, One Unified Experience

Al Layan Oasis is divided into four main zones. Each zone has its own personality but is designed to feel cohesive.

For socialising, the Gathering Oasis will host an open-air cinema, amphitheatre, food truck zones and event spaces.

The Family Oasis focuses on comfort and convenience, offering 28 rest areas, children’s play zones and essential amenities. Get ready to plan a full day outdoors without stress.

The Camping Oasis will cater to caravan enthusiasts, accommodating up to 100 caravans and include a visitor centre dedicated to environmental awareness and education.

Recreation Oasis is set to bring together retail outlets, activity hubs and services.

Eco Tourism With Long-Term Impact

Dubai expects the project to attract around 330,000 visitors annually. It’s a strong digit for a nature-focused tourism destination. The plan includes expanding native planting and shaded areas to improve visitor comfort while preserving natural systems.  Also, Al Layan Oasis is the future of how lakes in the sand, elevated trails, caravan culture and quiet nights under open skies are the new normal part of Dubai Tourism.
