The designation, awarded by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards, required at least 80 percent of staff to complete specialised training in autism and sensory-sensitivity awareness. 3 Homegrown Coffee Brand Julith Grows Beyond Al Quoz

The bridge links directly with existing Al Khawaneej and Al Warqa tracks, extending the network all the way to Saih Al Salam. 5. Abu Dhabi To Clear Junk Food From Supermarket Checkouts

Starting January 2027, supermarkets across Abu Dhabi larger than 4,000 square feet will no longer be allowed to display high-fat, high-salt or high-sugar foods at checkouts, store entrances or end-of-aisle displays. The rule, developed with the Department of Health and several other regulatory bodies, doesn’t ban the sale of these products; it simply removes them from the spots shoppers are most likely to grab something on impulse. 8. Riyadh Air Launches First Southeast Asia Route To Kuala Lumpur

Saudi Arabia’s newest national carrier, Riyadh Air, has kicked off non-stop service between Riyadh and Kuala Lumpur, marking its first gateway into Southeast Asia. The three-times-weekly route uses a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, departing Riyadh late at night and touching down in the Malaysian capital by late morning. The launch comes barely six weeks after Riyadh Air’s very first commercial flight to London, underlining just how fast the airline is scaling its global network. 9. Egypt Rolls Out Digital Visa-On-Arrival At Cairo Airport

From 1 August, Cairo International Airport will begin piloting a new digital Visa-on-Arrival system across all its arrival terminals, replacing the traditional paper sticker with a scannable QR code. Travellers can generate the code before departure, mid-flight or after landing, either through a dedicated app, self-service kiosks or the official online portal, with the code staying valid for a set window after issuance. Egypt’s Tourism Minister said the pilot phase will let authorities fine-tune the system before rolling it out nationwide.

10. Cappadocia’s Skies Fill With Balloons For BalonFest 2026

Türkiye’s Cappadocia region is once again playing host to its biggest spectacle of the year, with the international hot air balloon festival, officially known as BalonFest, running from 30 July to 2 August. Dozens of specially shaped balloons representing nearly thirty countries join the region’s regular commercial fleet at sunrise, filling the sky above Göreme’s fairy chimneys with close to 200 balloons at once.
