A huge crowd from across Maharashtra is expected to gather at Shivaji Park. This situation would lead to heavy traffic on the roads, and so to avoid this, the Mumbai Police has announced a traffic advisory. These arrangements will be effective from 9 am to 11:59 pm on October 2.

According to a report by The Free Press Journal, to ease movement for pedestrians and vehicles, parking will not be allowed on important roads such as S.V.S Road (from Siddhivinayak Mandir Junction to Yes Bank), Keluskar Road (both North and South), M.B. Raut Road, Dadasaheb Rege Marg, Pandurang Naik Marg, Lt. Dilip Gupte Marg, N.C. Kelkar Marg, and L.J. Road. Over the years, these stretches have already witnessed massive crowds during the Melava, so keeping them clear will help vehicles flow better.
