Cab services have been introduced to make sure people get home safely, but what if they end up making women feel uncomfortable? A recent incident has once again brought this issue to light, as a Mumbai woman recalled an experience while travelling with a Rapido driver.
Mumbai Woman Raises Concern Over Rapido Driver

Mumbai woman Anita Naik (@anitanaik46) took to social media to recall a horrifying experience with a Rapido driver. She posted the video with the text, “Do Not Use Rapido.” The Mumbai woman recorded the video as soon as she returned home from Marine Drive. She had booked a Rapido ride from Marina Drive to Ghatkopar, and the driver told her he would take the Sea Link, to which both passengers agreed.
Then Anita noticed something fishy. The driver called two or three people, asking them, “Where are you?” To one person, he mentioned a specific road, said he was taking that route and asked him to cancel his ride. While talking to a third person, he said, “Woh log bhi saath mein hi hai.” He said this while side-eyeing both passengers.
Feeling uncomfortable, both passengers stopped the ride midway. However, the driver kept asking them why they both were getting off and why they were dropping off at that location. They then took an auto, but the driver continued following them. When the girls started recording him, he stopped following them and went in another direction.

Customer safety is our highest priority, and we understand the seriousness of the concerns raised. Please share your registered mobile number and ride ID with us via DM so we can investigate the matter on priority and provide the necessary assistance.”
Anita also added that Rapido did not even see her messages but responded to her after the video went viral. She also called it the worst app she has used. Later, Rapido spoke to her on call and shared that the driver has now been completely suspended.
We hope Rapido take these matters seriously!
