It was recently revealed that the Saudi authorities have suspended to entertainment events. The suspension has taken place in the Riyadh region after safety concerns were reported by the General Entertainment Authority. The safety concerns were raised for the inflatable games that were featured at the sites. Two Entertainment Events In Riyadh Closed
As reported by the Gulf News, Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, who is the Deputy Governor of Riyadh, has suspended two entertainment events in Riyadh. He has also directed the Riyadh Police Chief to ensure that the order is implemented. The decision was taken as inflatable games that featured at the sites were reported to have safety concerns by the General Entertainment Authority.
Earlier An Accident Happened At Green Mountain Amusement Park, Taif
The development comes at a time when, recently, a tragic accident took place in an amusement park in Taif. Yes, the infamous Green Mountain Amusement Park accident, wherein a 360° ride had collapsed, killing one woman, and 22 other people were injured. The accident occurred while the ride was still in operation and loaded with visitors. As the arm of the ride cracked, it collapsed with a massive thump, with riders still seated.

Safety Of Visitors Paramount
As it happens, Prince Mohammed also laid emphasis on the safety of visitors to the entertainment activities. And how the safety is non-negotiable. As a result, authorities have been instructed to ensure that the inspections are intensified of amusement rides across the region so that there is full compliance with safety regulations.
And truth be told, it is through these safety measures and inspections that one feels confident while sitting on a ride, knowing such checks have been made so that accidents can be avoided.
