Currently, a terrifying yet satisfying video is going viral online. X user Deepu (@deepuva24) shared a video showing a lioness pinning down a man on a village road in Gujarat’s Bhavnagar district on July 6. The incident took place in Garajiya village.
The Palitana range forest office revealed that villagers first spotted the lioness on Sunday morning and raised an alarm. As the animal moved through the village, a local resident and member of the Maldhari pastoral community, Kalubhai Parmar, faced a terrifying encounter. The footage shows the lioness pinning the man to the ground.

How Man Saved Himself From A Lioness?
When the lioness pinned down the Gujarat man, he suffered injuries and started bleeding. But even in this situation, he stayed calm and tried reaching out to the lioness and patting it, making sure not to provoke the animal. He remained trapped by the lioness for about 30 minutes. Villagers standing at a distance kept throwing stones and shouting, but no one came near due to the danger.
After a few minutes, the lioness left the man and walked toward a nearby cattle shelter. According to forest officials, his calmness and presence of mind helped prevent the situation from becoming more serious.
Kalubhai Parmar was later taken to a government hospital in Palitana and then shifted to Bhavnagar. Thankfully, he is now out of danger. The forest department has already started the process of capturing the lioness and has advised villagers not to chase, harass, or attempt to drive away the animal on their own.
