Cyprus Lifts Pre-COVID Testing Requirement For Vaccinated Travellers

Cyprus, the picturesque middle-eastern island country in the Mediterranean Sea is replete with natural beauty and historic charm. In a massive development, vaccinated travellers or those who have recovered from the virus can enter Cyprus if they hold an EU Digital COVID-19 Vaccination or Recovery Certificate. The rule will apply to travellers of all nationalities from all countries. They will not be required to undergo self-isolation or quarantine or receive a special permit, as stated by Minister of Transport, Communications and Works Yiannis Karousos.

Can Unvaccinated People Travel To Cyprus?

The European Center for Disease Prevention and Control has set categories for several countries for travel amid the pandemic. Unvaccinated travellers to Cyprus or those who have recovered from COVID-19 must follow the rules for the category in which their countries are listed. The rules are as follows:

Category Rule
Green 72-hour PCR test or a 24-hour rapid test.
Red 72-hour PCR test or a 24-hour rapid test, PCR test on arrival ( own expense)
Deep Red 72-hour PCR test or a 24-hour rapid test, PCR test on arrival ( own expense)

What Is CyprusFlightPass?

All travellers must complete the application of CyprusFlightPass 48 hours before the commencement of travel. Also, they will be subject to random COVID-19 testing on arrival. Meanwhile, Thailand May Resume Quarantine-Free Travel From February 1 As COVID Cases Drop.
