Her small business brings desi chai lovers the closest to the authentic taste that they can find in a foreign destination. Her journey with her brand began after she had to leave her job back in 2022. Prasla was an employee of a mortgage company, according to a report by D Magazine. After the CEO retired, she became a part of the company’s downsizing. This turn in her life turned out to be quite a positive one as this was exactly when she got the real call to chase her dreams and take a step toward building her empire with Chaiwali.

Aliya was quick in taking action and flew to India in search of good-quality tea suppliers. She explored a total of 7 tea estates in search of the best products to kickstart her tea brand. With hard work, dedication, and passion for tea, she has surely made a name for her brand and herself in the industry. The most special part about her company is that she has a long and heartful relationship with tea, just like any other desi individual, be it in India or foreign places.

Calling tea a comfort drink, she shared how she made tea for her family during Thanksgiving. She has always been passionate about this beverage. Prasla began the process of testing tea recipes quite some years before already. She took steps way before as she wanted to find her favourite tea blends.
