India is a land of magnificence, with ancient architecture leading the way. Amongst many marvels, Kakanmath Temple in Morena, Madhya Pradesh, is a spectacular sight popular for the mystery behind its construction. This temple is very tall and impressive, but it was constructed by stacking stones on top of one another without the use of cement, lime, or thickeners.

You’ll be shocked to learn that this sizable temple was constructed in a single evening. The sturdy temples surrounding it failed the test of time, however, this temple still stands tall. About 70 kilometres from the city of Gwalior, you’ll find the Kakanamath Temple in Sihonia, Morena, which is the centre of interest both domestically and internationally.

Kakanmath Temple Is A Magnificent Mystery

The mysterious temple was unaffected by powerful storms that came. There were many nearby small temples that were destroyed, but this particular temple was unaffected. The temple’s construction did not use any stones found in the neighbourhood, which is amazing in itself.

You might be surprised to learn that the Madhya Pradesh temple of Kakanmath was not built with cement carts. One stone on top of another makes up the entire pile. The balance of the temple is constructed on the stones in a way that prevents it from being moved by a storm.

Some individuals hold the opinion that this temple is guarded by some sort of miraculous invisible force. Located in the middle of this temple is a large Shivling. Even after hundreds of years, the 120-foot-high upper portion of this temple and the sanctum sanctorum are still secure. The Kakanmath temple is still safe today despite the fact that every other temple in its vicinity is in disrepair is another aspect of its complex mysticism.

A Shiva Temple With Fascinating Details

Even in its current state of ruin, the Shiva temple known as Kakanmath at Suhaniya in District Morena is a magnificent structure and is noteworthy for the wealth of its sculptures. Thought to have been constructed by Kachchhapaghata ruler Kirttiraja, this temple stands on a tall, elaborate pitha. It was originally surrounded by subsidiary shrines. The temple is also noteworthy for its grand dimensions, rich quality and the variety of sculptures that it contains.
