If you want to book a bus journey in Delhi now, you can avail a discount of 10% on your fare by booking via the ‘One Delhi’ app. Also, women can book pink passes with this app to travel for free in public buses in Delhi. The app is available in English as well as Hindi. According to The Indian Express report, a statement on the revamped app said, “Passengers can book pink tickets and passes using this app by just scanning the QR Code inside the bus and select ticket fare or source and destination stop.”

The App Will Allow Passengers To Check The Estimated Arrival Time Of Buses
The development of the app took place with assistance from IIT-Delhi. With the app, passengers will be able to see the estimated time of arrival of buses to a particular stop. Also, information will be available about the nearest charging station for electric vehicles. The upgradation of the app will enable contactless ticket booking which will reduce chances of virus spread amid the ongoing pandemic. The Initiative Can Push More Delhiites To Adopt Public Transport
Transport minister Kailash Gahlot said that he is expecting that the ‘state-of-the-art buses with increased surveillance, safety features and right incentives’ will be required so that Delhiites can adopt public transport as their default mode of transport. According to government data, DTC and orange cluster buses in Delhi witness a daily ridership of 49 lakh passengers on average.
