Delhi–Faridabad Travel Time May Drop To 15 Min With New 6-Lane Corridor

Delhi-Faridabad 6-Lane Corridor

As per the Financial Express, once finished, the journey that typically takes about an hour is expected to cut to just 10–15 minutes, making daily travel much faster and more comfortable. The project is intended to minimise traffic pressure, offer a more seamless travel experience, and provide a faster alternate route for movement within the Delhi-NCR region.

As per the reports, the suggested 6-lane elevated corridor will commence at Ashram Chowk and extend up to Sarai Khwaja. This significant route connects key points between Delhi and Faridabad. The new highway is expected to improve connectivity and give a fresh flow to travel within the Delhi-NCR region, making daily movement easier and feasible.

Key Benefits Of The Project

This highway will make daily travel between Delhi and Faridabad faster and more accessible for travellers. It will cut down long traffic delays, especially during peak hours.

One of the key benefits of the project is the decrease in traffic pressure at the Badarpur Border. As per reports, the area is known for heavy traffic throughout the day, especially during morning and evening peak hours. With the high-level corridor in place, a huge portion of through-traffic is expected to shift to the new route. This will help in clearing up existing roads and improving overall traffic flow in the surrounding areas.
