Delhi traffic police have recently announced a few changes in regular transportation routes that need to be followed for a few hours on Friday. The department has released a traffic advisory stating the restrictions, timing, specific routes, and more. Here’s All The Details You Need To Know About Delhi Traffic Police’s Advisory
Taking to the X platform, Delhi Traffic Police (@dtptraffic) released the advisory for everyone.
In this recently issued advisory, Delhi traffic police stated that vehicular movement will be regulated in the capital city on May 3. The rules for regulating traffic on a few roads and junctions came into action at 9 AM on Friday and will continue till 2 PM. Here’s the list of roads and routes to avoid/ bypass from 9 AM to 2 PM on Friday.
- Mehrauli-Badarpur Road from Lado Sarai to Khanpur
- Entire Press Enclave Road
- The Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg from the Court Chowk to Khanpur
- Aurobindo Marg from PTS Malviya Nagar Junction to T.B. Hospital
- Anuvrat Marg from TB Hospital to Andheria Mor
- Internal Roads around DM Office
Delhi traffic police requested people to avoid/ bypass all these routes if possible. In the traffic advisory, the officials also asked the commuters to use public transportation and make the best use of the services, particularly metro facilities. It is likely that there might be issues of traffic jams while travelling on these above-mentioned roads. In the advisory, Delhi traffic police advised the public to have enough time at hand whenever they have plans to complete a road journey on any of these roads and junctions.

Other Traffic Restrictions & Diversions In The City:
The Delhi traffic police department also issued another advisory a few days back stating about the closure of the carriageway from Dhaula Kuan to Mayapuri for commuters for 20 days. It became effective on May 2. The reason behind pausing the access to the section temporarily is because of the repair work on the Naraina Flyover.
