Delhi Weekend Curfew: Here’s How You Can Apply For An E-Pass To Step Out

The covid-19 cases in India are on the rise once again, and after Maharashtra, Delhi has now become the worst-hit state. And to curb the rising cases in the capital, the government has now imposed a weekend curfew which will remain in place till 6 AM on Monday. And for the same, Delhi Police has warned that people venturing out without valid reasons during the curfew will face arrest and fines for violating covid rules. However, in case of emergency, people can apply for an ePass and here’s how it can be done.

Steps To Apply For An E-Pass In Delhi

Staying indoors is a safer option now- however, if you have to step out because of unavoidable reasons, then here’s how you can do so with an E-pass. 

1. To apply for an ePass for the weekend curfew, you have to visit the Delhi government’s offical website.

2. Once you land on the page, you will see a pop-up message – “Click Here to Apply for ePass for Night Curfew from 10:00 PM to 05:00 AM & Weekend Curfew.”

3. Click on the link, choose a language to continue as per your preference.

4. Once you set the language, you will see a question- “What do you need help with?” there, you have to select – “e-Pass to travel during Night Curfew or Weekend Curfew.

5. After you select the question, you will see a new page, where you have to provide all the details – contact number, name of the applicant, district, address of Office or place of engagement, type of service and e-pass type. You also have to submit your ID proof which shouldn’t exceed the size of 4MB.

5. Post that, you will get the e-pass.

In terms of the weekend curfew, only essential services will operate, and curfew passes will be provided for marriages and other permitted activities. Besides that, one weekly market will be allowed per day per zone.

Malls, gyms, auditoriums and spas will remain shut on the curfew. Dine-in will be shut, and home deliveries will be permitted.
