We are back again with our latest episode of Tere Gully Mein, where we met Baniya boy Kaustubh Agarwal for a food trail in Delhi. Kaustubh, who has jokes ready for every situation, did not leave a stone unturned to make us laugh out loud. Since he is a foodie just like us, we enjoyed a fun trail across the capital, starting with Amritsari chole kulche and ending with kulfi from Gupta Ji Kulfi Wale. The comedian, who enjoys huge popularity now, also shared how he got recognised in public for the first time and what happened. We know you are excited to know!
Kaustubh Agarwal On The 1st Time He Got Recognised In Public
Stand-up comedian Kaustubh Agarwal made our day in Delhi amazing. The day included Amritsari Chole Kulche, Chole Bhature at Nagpal’s and a lot of jokes. In this episode of Tere Gully Mein, the comedian also opened up about his personal life, his popularity and his dream to become a comedian, which did not come easy. Before stepping into comedy, Kaustubh Agarwal worked in sales. His family was not happy to see him leave his job. He added that Baniya families give a lot of importance to jobs.
Over hot plates of Amritsari Chole Kulche and chai, he also opened up about his relationships. But that wasn’t all. Before becoming famous, Kaustubh was just a normal person like us–not famous and working towards his dreams.
During the conversation, we asked him about the first time someone recognised him in public. Kaustubh revealed that once, a student from his college saw him while buying vegetables. The guy recognised him from one of his stand up performances in college and made a few abusive gestures. The guy also told Kaustubh that he was doing such a bad job before walking away. Kaustubh did not take him seriously. After graduating, he became popular due to his stand-up comedy acts. He shared that many juniors, seniors and alumni now walk up to him in public and praise him a lot.

More Food & Stories With The Stand Up Comedian
This Tere Gully Mein episode continued with more conversations and food. We then visited Franky Chicken Roll, a famous spot offering delicious veg and non-veg rolls. While enjoying our food, Kaustubh revealed his favourite hangout spots in Delhi, including the legendary Rajinder Da Dhaba, Karigari by Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi and many others. The conversation then moved to a sensitive moment where Kaustubh opened up about his breakup and a horrible date experience.
Of course, no Tere Gully Mein episode is complete without our favourite ‘This or That’ game. We asked him to pick from some of the most popular food items. But you will have to watch the episode because the answers are too interesting to reveal here. After some more conversations, we ended this episode with Kaustubh Agarwal by having kulfi-rabdi-falooda at Gupta Ji Kulfi Wale, running since 1976 in Delhi’s Tilak Nagar. It was the perfect end to an amazing day!
