Planning to travel to Delhi by train this weekend? You might want to check your ticket before heading to the railway station. Indian Railways has cancelled several Mail and Express train services scheduled to arrive at New Delhi and Hazrat Nizamuddin railway stations during a 10-hour window on October 10, owing to the possibility of severe traffic congestion in the surrounding areas. Here’s all you need to know.

Indian Railways Cancel All Delhi-Bound Mail & Express Trains On Oct 10

According to a railway order issued on October 9, the cancellations will apply to trains scheduled to reach either station between 4 AM and 2 PM on Saturday. The order also covers trains departing from their originating stations after 2 PM on Friday, October 9, and due to arrive at the two Delhi stations during the specified period.

According to The Economic Times, the disruption affects Mail and Express trains scheduled to arrive at New Delhi and Hazrat Nizamuddin railway stations during the specified hours. Among the services reported to be cancelled are the Howrah Rajdhani Express and Sealdah Rajdhani Express. Some Rajasthan-bound trains are also affected.

The cancellations are intended to prevent passengers from facing difficulties amid the anticipated traffic congestion around the two major railway stations.
