Zeeshan Ayyub Believes He Is A Better Foodie Than An Actor; Shares He Lives For Food

On this new Tere Gully Mein episode, we got the biggest self-proclaimed foodie and Delhiite, actor Zeeshan Ayyub. After all, if he is a Delhiite, it’s pretty obvious that he is a foodie too! We explored the theatre artist and Bollywood actor’s breakfast trail in Mandi House. Moreover, he tried legendary samosas, chai and even checked out the spot where theatre artists rehearse, snack and gossip. Moreover, Zeeshan Ayyub even revealed how he believes he is a better foodie than an actor. Not surprisingly, he lives for food!

Zeeshan Ayyub Lives To Eat

We chatted with the incredible actor Zeeshan Ayyub, who had a scene-stealing presence in the recent Kriti Sanon-Dhanush starrer, Tere Ishk Mein. While talking to Zeeshan, we asked him if he is as big a foodie as he is an actor. To this, he replied, “Main jaisa bhi actor hoon, usse bahut zyaada kamaal ka foodie hoon.” (I am a bigger foodie than an actor.) He elaborated that while many people eat to live, he belongs to the other category of people who live to eat.

Citing an example, Zeeshan said that if he comes to know of a place that serves great Anda Bread, even if it takes a 1.5 to 2-hour drive from his home, he’d still go without missing a beat. What absolutely appeals to him is Delhi street food. Our first spot with the Raanjhanaa actor was at BM Snacks Corner at Mandi House. The 35-year-old stall serves piping hot samosas straight out of the kadai with sabzi. There’s also Chole-Chawal, Rajma-Chawal and Kulhad Chai.

Remembers Snacking At His Fave Delhi Spots

BM Snacks Corner is a popular adda amongst theatre actors rehearsing at Mandi House. Whether it’s early morning breakfast or an evening snack, this is their go-to spot. More than BM Snacks Corner, Zeeshan Ayyub remembered eating at the NSD‘s government-run canteen. In a revelation that shocked us, he shared that six slices of bread, two omelettes, and a banana cost just ₹4. Snacks were sold at a highly subsidised rate, where a royal meal would stretch to just ₹5.
