Delhi’s IGI Airport Ranked As World’s Best For Catering To Over 69MN Passengers!

We are proud to tell you that Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) has recently grabbed the top spot among world airports. The ranking was revealed by the Airports Council International’s Airport Service Quality Programme (ASQ) 2019.

In 2019, Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport, catered to over 69 million passengers per annum (MPPA), hence making it the world’s best in the Asia-Pacific category. However, the previous years, it catered to more number of people, around 40 million, but didn’t make it to the top. It was listed along with top names in the Asia Pacific region like, Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Singapore’s Changi airport and Shanghai Pudong International Airport.

The Delhi International Airport Limited, revealed in a statement, ‘The IGIA had retained the world’s second best airport position for three consecutive years till 2013. In 2014, it stepped up its position to World No. 1 in the 25-40 MPPA category and retained the rank in 2015.
