In an attempt to attract children back, a school in Tamil Nadu’s Pudukkottai district painted the walls of its corridors to resemble train compartments. The teachers and other staff members took this step to make education more interesting for students. The school staff wanted to give exposure to students who come from underprivileged families and never got a chance to travel in trains.

A few days back, a primary school in Dhanbad has been transformed into a passenger railway coach. The COVID-19 restrictions are easing off and the Centre has now allowed the states to take the decision on reopening schools. The schools in Dhanbad are yet to reopen. But the school in Bhagmara block of Dhanbad has been given the look of a passenger train so that students can learn with increased concentration and enjoy their study once normalcy resumes. This new school-turned-train has already become a centre of attraction and the talk of the town. Also, a School in Maharashtra had painted the entire syllabus on village walls.
School Turned Into Train To Motivate Students To Study
The central government has permitted states to take the decision on reopening schools and colleges, after reviewing the COVID-19 situation. Some schools had partially reopened for classes 9-12 on September 21, following the guidelines of Unlock 4. Now the Centre has stated that schools in the states can reopen from October 15. States like Punjab and Uttar Pradesh have planned to reopen schools in October, while most other states have decided to maintain the status quo on educational institutions. Dhanbad too is yet to reopen schools, but a primary school in Dhanbad’s Bhagmara block has undergone a complete transformation and it looks like a passenger train of the Indian Railways now.
The school authorities are hoping that the institution, looking like a train will attract more students once classes resume. It will also help them learn with enjoyment and concentrate more. Reportedly, the idea behind this train avatar is that just the way a train takes people to their destinations, education too will drive pupils towards the success of their lives. It has also become a tourist spot and is already drawing crowds. Also, here’s how Iranian schools are enforcing social distancing.
