A script is the most crucial part of a movie’s pre-production. From story to ideas to approach, everything is visible and represented on these pieces of paper. Shockingly, Gangs of Wasseypur’s script was lost even before Anurag Kashyap could hand it over to the producer. The renowned director attended the Marrakech Film Festival recently. While speaking at the festival, he revealed this startling story.
Walking down memory lane, he shared about writing the movie’s script. He was in Madrid when he wrote it. Surrounded by colourful views, he just felt like writing the script of Gangs of Wasseypur. Though he put all his efforts into creating it, he ended up losing it.
More than typing on an electronic device, Anurag prefers writing it on paper. After he completed the script, it was time to fly back to India. The Gangs of Wasseypur’s only handwritten script was packed inside Anurag’s bag. He planned to reach home and present the script to the producer. Unfortunately, the airline lost his bag.
