You cannot deny that dim sums and momos are some of the most delicious culinary offerings that Asia has. However, if you’ve been to any Pan-Asian restaurant, you know that these tasty pockets of flavour can also be quite expensive. But! We know a place that serves juicy, authentic dim sum that won’t burn a hole in your pocket! Dim Sum (Momo) Express located across Mumbai and even in other parts of India is your haven for inexpensive Pan-Asian delicacies!
Dim Sum (Momo) Express Serves Juicy Dim Sums
Anyone who has been to a Pan-Asian restaurant will tell you that Dim Sums are quite expensive. And yeah, you have the street-style momos that are cheaper, but more often than not, those are quite Indianised. They are very delicious, granted, but if you’re looking for authentic Asian flavours, the street-style momos may not satisfy you.
Dim Sum (Momo) Express is my personal go-to place whenever I’m craving some dim sum. I discovered this place a few years ago when I was dying to try the Xiao Long Bao or soup dumplings. In case you don’t know what they are, they’re these delicate dough pockets filled with rich umami meat and broth. The best ones are supposed to squirt scalding hot soup in your mouth when you bite into them – that’s how juicy they are!
These dumplings are hard to come by even in reputed Pan-Asian establishments and their prices are exorbitant. To my delight, I discovered this place. I was a bit hesitant and kept my expectations in check when I placed my order but was thoroughly delighted with what I got! And since then, this place has been my favourite!

The establishment does not have much to offer in the way of ambience but what it lacks in frills, it more than makes up for with its food. There are a few dishes that I order every time I go there without fail.
The Xiao Long momo is a must-try. The Sriracha Chicken Dumplings are also on my always-order list. The Siu Mai and Har Gao Dumplings are also amazing. The Hot Pot Momo Soup is very comforting as well. It comes with four momos that have absorbed the soup’s flavours and are a delight to eat.
This place truly is a hissed gem and not many people seem to know or talk about it. So the next time you’re craving some Dim Sum, look up their closest outlet to you and head there! You’ll keep wanting dim sum mo(mo)!
