Someone travelling in Bengaluru recently shared their scary experience with an Ola cab driver which shows just how bad the situation is. The post has now gone viral on social media. Pawan Kumar recently shared his harrowing experience with an Ola cab driver in Bengaluru. He booked an auto via the cab-aggregating platform from Brookfield to Koramangala with a stop at Mahadevpura. The app showed the price ₹292 for the trip.
However, when he reached the destination, the driver demanded ₹455. He refused to pay the surcharge. The driver then became aggressive and started yelling. He even used abusive language. Kumar called the cops and when they arrived, the driver changed his story. He said that they came by metre and Kumar was refusing to pay it.
Kumar told the police the truth and the police asked him to pay extra money. When he refused again, the driver began to threaten him in front of the police. He said that he knew where Kumar worked and proceeded to threaten him. And yet, the police did not do anything.

He was also recording the whole exchange and both the police as well as the driver tried to get him to delete everything from his phone. He took to X (formerly known as Twitter) and shared the whole incident. Ola’s team responded soon after.
In a follow-up post, Kumar revealed that Ola suspended the driver and he got a refund for the extra money that he paid. Additionally, Ola also asked him to delete the posts as the matter was resolved.
