There have been an increasing number of incidents where inebriated passengers end up causing chaos in flights. Something similar happened recently on a flight by a British airline. A drunk passenger severely endangered passengers by storming into the cockpit of an easyJet flight and trying to take control of the aircraft. Here are all of the other important details that you would need to know about this scary and unfortunate incident on the flight.

Drunk Flyer Storms Into Cockpit On An EasyJet Flight

According to an article which was recently published by WION, the flight was headed from London to Kos, an island in Greece that is known for its parties. The aircraft was an Airbus A320. If reports are to go by, the drunk man called the pilot “rubbish” and tried to take over controls in the cockpit.

He ever argued with the crew and broke the in-flight intercom. Things got so bad that the flight was forced to make an emergency landing in Munich. The passengers and crew members had to manually restrain him until the pilot safely landed the aircraft in Munich.

The experience scared many passengers on board. A video is not making rounds on X (formerly known as Twitter). In the video, the drunk passenger was being deboarded from the flight as other passengers cheered on. One angry passenger even yelled, “Get off you loser!”

Flight Forced To Make An Emergency Landing

The incident significantly disrupted the course of the flight as it had to make an emergency landing. This incident highlights the importance of not overserving alcohol on flights. Recently, the CEO of Ryanair also called for a limit on the number of drinks served to passengers.

Such disruptions cause a significant inconvenience to all involved. In many cases, inebriated people can also become violent which can endanger the lives of other passengers as well as crew members.
