Autism-friendly features have been launched at Dubai International Airport to help people with disabilities facing troublesome travel experiences. Dubai so far has been the best city to live or travel in for people with different disabilities. The government and other authorities have made arrangements for an easy lifestyle for people with determination. From reserved parking to health facilities for people with hidden disabilities, Dubai has strategised the emirates well.

The expedited check-in, passport checks, screening, and boarding processes will benefit qualifying travellers with chronic fatigue and post-traumatic stress disorder. The sunflower lanyards would also give airport staff members a visual reference that a client might want more care, time, or help while in the terminal. Apart from this, DXB International Airport will be arranging safari tours for people soon.

Airports may be unpleasant places for passengers with special needs because of the glaring fluorescent lighting, crowded areas, and constant announcements. The Dubai International airport is also launching a travel organizer that parents can use to learn in preparation what to anticipate when at the terminal as a way to make DXB more approachable.

To make themselves more noticeable to travellers, specialised workers will be wearing sunflower pins and armbands while supporting clients who require further support.

The change is a component of the UAE Vision 2021 and Dubai Plan 2021, which aim to make Dubai the most accessible city in the world.
