Dubai is a multicultural city with hundreds of restaurants located across the emirate. These restaurant offers a multitude of cuisines and experiences ranging from casual to fine dining. So, it’s not surprising that Dubai has been named among the most popular food destinations in the world on social media. Yes, this is according to a new survey that was conducted by an international travel agency, Travelbag, and we are here with the details.

Dubai has managed to rank fourth on the list of most popular food destinations around the world on social media. According to a new survey conducted by Travelbag, which compiled a list of 50 cities from around the world and analysed their Instagram and TikTok data. This has been done to identify the most popular food destinations on social media. And it is a part of a wider study! As a result, the study found that over 2 million posts on Instagram and 1,27,900 TikTok videos showcased Dubai’s rich food culture. These figures ended up surpassing other cities like Sydney, Chicago, and Paris.

This Was Followed By Melbourne and Toronto

Going by the report, Dubai stood out as a ‘culinary giant’ with 106 food and drink activities. This number surpassed other top cities such as Melbourne, which has 78 and Toronto, which has 40. As it is home to many restaurants, the dining scene has seen the introduction of some of the best concepts in the world. In fact, several renowned destinations are opening their doors in the city.

The Michelin Guide was also launched in the city back in 2022, which boosted the homegrown concept in the country. Moreover, the good ambience of the restaurant, which makes it social media-friendly, is also one of the factors. Complete with food that is presentable on camera, it takes the brand a long way in terms of marketing. In case you are wondering about the first rank, this was snagged by London. As it happens, it was followed by the cities of Toronto and Melbourne
