Dubai Launches Covid-19 Vaccine Drive On Wheels

Covid-19 vaccination drive in the UAE began in December 2020, and since then, millions of residents have already received a Covid-19 jab. And to make the process simpler for residents, Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences and the Dubai Health Authority announced that it has started the Covid-19 vaccination drive across the city using a mobile clinic. Two Mobile Clinics Have Started The Vaccination Drive Across 11 Vaccination Points

You can now receive a covid-19 shot without visiting the clinic. Thanks to the mobile clinic, which is a part of the Wellness on Wheels (WoW) initiative launched by MBRU to provide medical assistance to community members. For now, two mobile clinics have started the vaccination drive across 11 vaccination points.

The mobile clinics have 11 nurses and doctors from the health authority with staff from the Mohammed Bin Rashid University. Besides this, each mobile clinic has top-quality medical equipment, so residents don’t need to worry much about the facilities.

So Far 7,688 People Have Received Covid-19 Shot Through Mobile Clinics

On this Dubai Media Office says, ‘the move is in line with Dubai’s efforts to vaccinate 100 per cent of all eligible adults by the end of the year.’

The Wellness on Wheels campaign aims to cover more locations to ensure a good reach. In fact, in just less than a month, a total of 7,688 people received their Covid-19 vaccination through the Wellness on Wheels mobile clinics. Dr Amer Mohammed Al Zarooni, the Director of the Wellness on Wheels Program stated,

“The Wellness on Wheels mobile clinics are fully capable of administering the Covid-19 vaccine as per DHA standards. The mobile clinics will play a crucial role in expanding the reach of the vaccination drive and protecting more segments of the community through timely intervention.”
