Dubai RTA Announces Service Timings For 2024 New Year’s Eve; Take A Look

With the New Year preparations still underway in full swing, the Dubai Roads & Transport Authority have now announced working hours for all its services on New Year’s Eve and holiday. Yes, it includes change in business hours in relation to the Customer Happiness Centres, parking zones, Dubai metro and tram, marine transport, and even public buses. As it happens, this also extends to the service provider centres, such as technical testing of vehicles.

Dubai RTA Releases Timings For Its Service Providers

According to the notification released by the Dubai RTA, its service provider centres will be closed on January 1, 2024 and will resume business once again on Tuesday, January 2. Similarly, all of RTA’s customer happiness centres will be closed on Monday, January 1 while the smart customer happiness centres will operate around the clock as usual. These customer happiness centres are located in Umm Ramool, Deira, Al Barsha, Al Kifaf, and RTA’s Head Office.

What About The Dubai Train & Bus?

If you are wondering about the metro, the service hours of Dubai Metro Red and Green lines from December 31 to January 1 will be quite long. Yes on Sunday, it will be operating from 8 AM to 11:59 PM, while on Monday it will be operating from 12 AM to 11:59 PM. Coming to the Dubai train, the working hours will be from 9 AM to 11:59 PM on December 31 while on Monday, January 1 it will be from 12 AM to 1 AM next day.

As it happens, the Dubai RTA has also released timings for public buses, which include the Dubai bus and Metro Link services. The Dubai bus will operate from Monday to Thursday from 4:30 AM to 12:30 AM (next day). And the timings for metro link buses will also be synchronised with metro timings. Coming to the intercity bus routes, the buses will be operating on the following routes –

  • E16 – Al Sabkha to Hatta
  • E100 – Al Ghubaiba to Abu Dhabi
  • E101 – Ibn Battuta to Abu Dhabi
  • E102 – Al Jaffiliya to Musaffah Community
  • E201 – Al Ghubaiba to Al Ain
  • E303 – Union Station to Jubail in Sharjah
  • E306 – Al Ghubaiba to Jubail in Sharjah
  • E307 – Deira City Centre to Jubail in Sharjah
  • E307A – Abu Hail to Jubail in Sharjah
  • E315 – Etisalat Station to Muwaileh in Sharjah
  • E400 – Union Station to Ajman
  • E411 – Etisalat Station to Ajman
  • E700 – Union Station to Fujairah.

Dubai Marine Transport Timings Also Released

However, it did also mention that two of its routes will be directed from December 29 to January 1, which includes route (100) starting from Ibn Batuta Station to Abu Dhabi and route (102), which will start from Ibn Batuta Station to Musaffa Community.

As it happens, the Dubai RTA has also released a comprehensive slew of timings for its Marine transport, which includes the traditional abra, Dubai ferry, and water taxi. It has been mentioned on their website. Not to mention, tourist journeys from Sheikh Zayed Road station will not be happening.

Finally, it’s worth mentioning that the notification also mentions that besides the multilevel parking terminal, public parking will be free for the New Year holiday on January 1.
