The Dubai Roads & Transport Authority has announced revised working hours for all services and even free parking zones for the 52nd Union Day Holiday. Yes, over the three days, people in the emirate will be able to make use of these services and they might also want to keep the revised business hours in mind. Especially if they wish to visit a Customer Happiness Centre or travel by Dubai Metro and Tram or even Marine Transport.

Free Parking For 52nd Union Day Holiday

As mentioned above, the Dubai RTA announced that there will be free parking for people during the 52nd Union Day holiday. Yes, this will be available for public parking spaces, however, it does not include the multilevel parking terminals. So, from December 2 to December 4, which is from Saturday to Monday, the parking tariff will not be applicable and it will only resume on December 5, Tuesday.

Revised Timings For Service Providers Announced By Dubai RTA

As it happens, the service providers’ centres, such as vehicle testing and Customer Happiness Centres have also revised the timings. Yes, the service provider centres will be closed during the holiday, which starts on Saturday. However, only vehicle technical inspection services will resume again, on December 4, Monday. As it happens, the centres of Tasjeel Al Twar, AutoPro Satwa, AutoPro Al Mankhool, Tasjeel Al Awir, and Al Yalayis, will be the places where this service will resume on Monday. As such, the hall transactions will also resume in all centres from Tuesday onwards. It should be noted that the Customer Happiness Centres will be closed during the holiday. However, smart Customer Happiness Centres in the areas of Umm Ramool, Deira, Al Barsha, Al Kifaf, and RTA’s Head Office, will operate as it generally does, around the clock.

Changes In Timings Of Public Transport

It should be noted that several changes in timings have also been made to public transport services. This includes the Dubai Metro, Dubai Tram, Public Buses, Marine Transport and even Intercity Bus routes. Take a look –

Dubai Metro

Applicable till December 12, the Red and Green lines will be operating as follows

  • November 30 to December 3 – 5 am to 1 am
  • December 4 to December 10 – 5 am to 1 am
  • December 11 to December 12 – 5 am to 1 am

Dubai Tram

  • November 30 to December 12
  • Mondays to Saturdays – 6 am to 1 am
  • Sundays – 9 am to 1 am

Public Buses

From December 1 to 3, 16 bus routes will be redirected on Sheikh Zayed Road, however, these are only for the buses going towards Abu Dhabi. These include 10, 15, 21, 7, 8, 83, 91, E101, 98E, 96, 95A, 95, 91A, X94, X92, and E102. There will also be an expected delay in bus service on these routes, especially during the 6:30 am and 11:30 am.

  • Mondays to Thursdays – 4:30 am to 12:30 am
  • Fridays – 5 am to 12:30 am
  • Saturdays to Sundays 6 am to 1 am

It should be noted that the service timing of the metro link bus service will also be synchronised with the metro operating times and trips.

Intercity Bus

Bus Route, E100 has been redirected from Ibn Battuta Bus Station to head for Abu Dhabi and Bus Route, E102 has been redirected to move from Ibn Battuta Bus Station and head for Musaffah Community. This is from December 1 to 4.

It should be noted that the services will be normal on all other routes. These include

  • E16 from Al Sabkha to Hatta,
  • E100 from Al Ghubaiba to Abu Dhabi
  • E101 from Ibn Battuta to Abu Dhabi
  • E102 from Ibn Battuta to Musaffah
  • E201 from Al Ghubaiba to Al Ain
  • E303 from Union Station to Jubail, Sharjah
  • E306 from Al Ghubaiba to Jubail, Sharjah
  • E307 from Deira City Centre to Jubail, Sharjah
  • E307A from Abu Hail to Jubail, Sharjah
  • E315 from Etisalat Station to Muwaileh, Sharjah
  • E400 from Union Station to Ajman
  • E411 from Etisalat Station to Ajman
  • E700 from Al Ittihad Station to Fujairah

Water Bus

The timings for this are as follows

  • Dubai Marina (BM1) Marina Mall to Marina Walk – 12 pm to 11:05 pm
  • Marina Promenade to Marina Mall – 3:55 pm to 10:00 pm
  • Marina Terrace to Marina Walk – 4 pm – 10 pm; the full line 3:55 pm – 9:40 pm

Water Taxi

Marina Mall to Bluewaters (BM3) – 4:15 pm – 11:25 pm.
It should be noted that the service will be available on demand between 3 pm and 11 pm. But the customers will have to book in advance.

Dubai Ferry

  • Al Ghubaiba to Dubai Water Canal (FR1) – 1 pm and 6 pm
  • Dubai Water Canal to Al Ghubaiba (FR1) – 2:25 pm and 7:25 pm
  • Dubai Water Canal to Bluewaters (FR2) 1:50 pm and 6:50 pm
  • Bluewaters to Marina Mall (FR2) – 2:50 pm and 7:50 pm
  • Marina Mall to Bluewaters (FR2) – 1:00 pm and 6:00 pm
  • Bluewaters to Dubai Water Canal (FR2) – 1:15 pm and 6:15 pm
  • Tourist trips from Marina Mall (FR4) – 11:30 am and 4:30 pm
  • Sharjah Aquarium to Al Ghubaiba (FR5) – 2 pm, 4 pm and 6 pm,
  • Al Ghubaiba to Sharjah Aquarium (FR5) – 3 pm, 5 pm and 8 pm.

Abras

  • Old Dubai Souq to Baniyas (CR3) – 10 am to 10:45 pm
  • Al Fahidi to Al Sabkha (CR4) – 10 am to 11:25 pm
  • Al Fahidi to Deira Old Souq (CR5) – 10 am to 11:15 pm
  • Baniyas to Al Seef (CR6) – 10 am to 12 am
  • Al Seef to Al Fahidi to Old Dubai Souk (CR7) – 3:10 pm to 10:55 pm,
  • Dubai Festival City to Dubai Creek Harbor (CR9) – 4:00 pm to 11:50 pm,
  • Al Jaddaf to Dubai Festival City (BM2) – 8 am to 11:50 pm
  • Sightseeing tours of the Dubai Water Canal and Sheikh Zayed Marine Transport Station (TR6) – 4 pm to 10:15 pm

It should be noted that the Sheikh Zayed Road will also remain closed temporarily for Cop 28 UAE. So, the traffic on the road that’s going towards Abu Dhabi will be diverted to alternative routes, like Jumeirah Street, Al Khail Road, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, and Emirates Road. This will be applicable from December 1 to 3 between 7 AM and 11 AM.
