This restaurant was closed after the inspectors found repeated food safety violations. These pose a risk to public health. As a result, the operations were stopped for breaching the food safety laws of Abu Dhabi.
2. Biennial Business Aviation Exhibition To Return In December
Emirates’ flagship biennial business aviation exhibition is all set to make its return for its 11th edition. The MEBAA is returning for its 11th edition from December 8th to 10th. It will be taking place at Dubai World Central, which highlights the growing role of private and business aviation.
3. The UAE Approves Unified Licensing Framework For Universities
The UAE recently introduced a unified national framework. This aims to regulate the licensing of universities and colleges. This move aims at raising academic standards, strengthening governance, and also simplifying oversight. It is across the higher education sector of the country, and this includes the institutions in free zones as well, as revealed by the Gulf News.
4. Qatar Braces For Peak Heat
As mentioned by the Qatar Meteorological Department, Al Han’ah star rose on July 16th. As a result, this marks the start of a 13-day period and the fourth phase of summer. Not to mention, it also marked the final stage of the Al Jawzaa season. Temperature during the Al Han’ah period reaches its summer peak with hot winds, even continuing until midnight.
5. North Batinah Municipality Destroys 50 KG Of Unfit Nuts, Dates & Dry Fruit Products
The North Batinah Municipality conducted a targeted inspection campaign in Suwaiq. This campaign was on shops that were selling grains, nuts, dates, and dry fruit products. As a result, the inspection resulted in the destruction of 50 KG of nuts, dates, and grains. These were found to be unfit for human consumption because of their unknown origin. In fact, inspectors also detected the presence of insects in several food products, as revealed by Muscat Daily.

6. The New Al Mughsail Road & Bridge Opens In Dhofar
Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology recently inaugurated the new Al Mughsail road and bridge. This was inaugurated in Dhofar and completed at a cost of RO9mn. This project aims to make travelling more efficient and better connectivity.
7. Saudi Arabia To Witness The Longest Total Solar Eclipse In 2027
The Saudi Space Agency has revealed that after 75 years, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will witness a total solar eclipse. This is a remarkable astronomical event, and it will occur on August 2nd, 2027. It is going to be the most important eclipse of the century. This will be one of the longest solar eclipses that the region will witness.
8. Rare 1000-Year-Old Quran Displayed At Iqra Exhibition
A rare manuscript of the Holy Quran is on display at the ‘Iqra’ Exhibition at the Grand Mosque. This exhibition, as revealed by the SPA, has been organised by the Presidency of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque. The Holy Quran written by the renowned calligrapher, Ali bin Hilal, is expected to be more than 1000 years old.
9. Dubai Indian Consulate To Be Temporarily Closed For Three Days

As revealed by Gulf News, the Consulate General of India in Dubai has announced that the premises will be closed from Friday, July 17th to July 19th, Sunday. This is being done as road maintenance work is being carried out by relevant authorities in the consulate complex. So passport, visa, and attestation services at the Consulate General of India in Dubai will remain suspended during the period.
10. Kuwait Introduces Blinking Traffic Lights
In a major update, Kuwait has introduced several new traffic lights. These are flashing signals, which intermittently blink before changing colour. This has been done as part of its effort to update the country’s traffic system. The rollout is taking place gradually, and the ministry is assessing how well it aligns with the traffic movement in Kuwait before it gets expanded across the country.
