More About The Upcoming Station
This is the world’s first air taxi, and the building is spread across four stories. Joby Aviation is behind the development of electric aircraft, and it is also expected to operate the service once it is launched. Dubai RTA will then oversee the regulations and integration with the wider transport network. The first stations are expected to be ready before 2026 ends at Dubai International Airport, Downtown, Dubai Palm Jumeirah, and Dubai Marina.
This project follows a series of test milestones that were achieved by Joby Aviation. This included a piloted point-to-point flight in the UAE in November 2025 and subsequent tests near desert conditions for evaluating the aircraft’s performance in high temperatures.
Finally, it’s worth mentioning that Skyports Infrastructure is responsible for the design, development and operation of the station infrastructure.
