Dubai is getting a taste of the Greek islands this September, with Mykonos Dubai, a new restaurant and lounge inspired by the whitewashed beauty of the Aegean, set to open at Swissôtel Al Murooj in Downtown Dubai.
Mykonos Dubai Is Bringing A Slice Of The Greek Islands To Downtown
Located just minutes from The Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa, the upcoming restaurant is designed around the relaxed, social spirit associated with Mykonos. Think crisp white walls, cobalt blue details, cascading bougainvillea and natural textures, with Mediterranean-style flooring and traditional Greek touches completing the look.
The idea is to bring the feel of a long, leisurely island lunch to the heart of Dubai, where meals are designed to stretch into evenings over food, drinks and conversation.

Expect Mezze, Grills And Seafood
The menu follows the Greek tradition of sharing, starting with a selection of mezze. Diners can expect classics including tzatziki, tirokafteri, melitzanosalata, feta and saganaki, alongside grilled halloumi, stuffed vine leaves, calamari and garlic shrimp.
The grill section brings together chicken and lamb souvlaki, lamb chops, meat tenderloin, ribeye and Wagyu striploin, while seafood takes up its own substantial part of the menu.
Among the offerings are grilled seabass, king prawns, grilled octopus, seafood linguine and lobster pasta.
For larger groups, the restaurant will also offer sharing platters, including a Meat Platter, Seafood Platter and Royal Mykonos Platter, allowing diners to sample a selection of dishes around one table.
Desserts keep things traditionally Greek, with baklava, Greek yoghurt with honey and pistachio cheesecake on the menu. There will also be Greek and premium cheese boards for those looking to finish their meal on a savoury note.

Dinner That Turns Into A Night Out
Mykonos Dubai is also being positioned as more than a restaurant. Shisha and DJ sets will form part of the evening experience, with the aim of recreating the easy-going nightlife associated with the Greek islands.
Its Downtown location could also make it a convenient option for groups looking to move from dinner into a longer evening without leaving the neighbourhood.
While an exact opening date in September has not yet been announced, Mykonos Dubai is preparing to bring its take on Aegean dining to one of Dubai’s busiest tourist districts.
