“I Wanted To Be Paid To Exist”, Desi Bling Star Lailli’s Candid Take On Business, Investing & Manifestation

Have you been following the Mirza sisters since their Desi Bling breakout? Well, then, you are quite aware that Lailli Mirza doesn’t do filtered answers. In a recent chat with Curly Tales Middle East’s anchor Bianca, she got refreshingly honest about the question she says she gets asked constantly by people who know her personally. That is “Why join a reality show at all, and especially one known for its outrageous cast?”

“Why Are You Doing A Reality TV Show?”

Lailli shared that people close to her often question her involvement in the show, especially given how larger-than-life some of her castmates can be. Her answer, though, points to something bigger than the show itself: the fact that wealth and how people choose to spend it exist on a wide spectrum, and everyone’s relationship with money looks different.

Here’s where Lailli got refreshingly candid. She revealed that growing up, she never had the desire to work in the traditional sense. Her actual goal, in her own words, was simply to be paid to exist. It’s a line that got an immediate reaction, with Bianca jumping in to call it “everyone’s dream”, and Lailli didn’t disagree. She doubled down, saying she genuinely believed it was possible, and today, she feels like she’s living exactly that reality.

Her Advice On Manifestation

When someone asked her for tips on how to actually manifest that kind of life, Lailli didn’t hold back. Her advice: believe in yourself and in what you actually want, not performatively, but for real. She pointed out that a lot of people say they’re manifesting something without actually believing it’s possible, which defeats the purpose entirely. According to Lailli, the key is being in the right vibration, and love, she says, is the best vibration to sit in if you want to attract anything into your life.

It’s a mix of business mindset and manifestation philosophy that feels very on-brand for the Mirza sisters: that’s equal parts grounded and aspirational.
