Egypt is waiving entry fees at six museums and heritage attractions as part of celebrations marking the 53rd anniversary of the October 6 Victory. The free-entry offer is split across two periods, with four military museums and historic sites already participating and two agricultural attractions joining later this week.
Egypt Is Offering Free Entry To 6 Museums And Heritage Sites This October
The October Victory commemorates the events of the October War, which began on October 6, 1973. The initiative gives visitors a chance to learn more about Egypt’s military, national and agricultural heritage through its museums and cultural attractions.

Four military museums and historic sites are offering free entry from October 3 to October 6:
- October War Panorama
- National Military Museum at the Citadel
- Gamal Abdel Nasser Museum
- El Alamein Military Museum
The October War Panorama in Cairo focuses on the events of the 1973 war, while the National Military Museum at the Citadel traces Egypt’s military history across different periods. The Gamal Abdel Nasser Museum explores the life and legacy of the former Egyptian president, while the El Alamein Military Museum focuses on the historic Battle of El Alamein.
Visitors hoping to take advantage of the offer have only two days left, Monday, October 5 and Tuesday, October 6.
Two More Attractions Go Free
The Agricultural Museum in Dokki and the Egypt Flower Exhibition will offer free entry from October 8 to 10.
The Agricultural Museum is one of the world’s largest agricultural museums and covers nearly 30 feddans. Its collections trace the development of agriculture in Egypt, from the Pharaonic era to modern times, with exhibits covering ancient Egyptian agriculture, plant wealth, cotton and later historical periods.
The Egypt Flower Exhibition offers a different experience, with around 15,000 square metres dedicated to flowers, ornamental plants and landscaping. More than 80 exhibitors take part in the exhibition.
