Eid-Al-Adha is one of the most important festivals celebrated in the UAE and is just around the corner. People are awaiting this festival, which calls for a family gathering, food, and happiness. Keeping this important festival in mind, the Integrated Transport Centre of the Department of Municipalities and Transport in Abu Dhabi and the Sharjah Municipality Transport Department have announced free parking. Here are the details about the dates and timings. 

Eid-Al-Adha 2023: Free Parking In Sharjah And Abu Dhabi

For Abu Dhabi this Eid-Al-Adha, there will be no toll charges or parking fees from Tuesday on all four days of Eid-Al-Adha holidays. The Customers’ Happiness centres will be closed for the holidays. 

The Integrated Transport Centre of the Department of Municipalities and Transport in Abu Dhabi made an official announcement. MAWAQiF surface parking fees will not be charged from June 27, Tuesday, to July 1, Saturday, until 7:59am. Also, the Mussafah M-18 truck parking lot will also charge no parking fees during the Eid holiday. 

The ITC has also asked the drivers to park properly in the designated spaces and not in the residential area between 9pm and 8am. The Darb toll gate system will also be free of charge starting Tuesday. During Eid holidays, Abu Dhabi Link bus services and Abu Dhabi Express will work from 6am to 11pm.

Paid Parking Zones

Sharjah residents will also enjoy free public parking on the holidays announced for Eid al-Adha. This news was announced by the emirate’s municipality. 

On Tuesday, public and private sector employees will enjoy a four-day holiday. For the people who have a Saturday-Sunday holiday, this Eid-Al-Adha holiday means a six-day holiday as they will be resuming work on July 3.

Parking fees will not be charged from June 27, Tuesday, to June 30, Friday. The 7-day paid parking zones are exempt from this and will include holidays and Fridays. You can easily identify this by the blue parking information boards.
