Emirates is a Dubai-based carrier that is known for offering fantastic services to its flyers. And now, it has introduced its first retrofitted Boeing 777. As it happens, it features the highly anticipated new Business Class Seats and Premium Economy Class cabins that are making a debut for the first time on the 777. Scheduled to take off for Geneva on August 7, here is all about the new aircraft that’s now part of the Emirates fleet.

Taking a total of 37 days for a complete revamp, the first Boeing 777 of Emirates with a nose-to-tail cabin now sport a refreshing new look. It has in fact even rolled into service, as it takes off to Geneva as EK 83. For the complete overhaul of the cabin, they were first gutted, then fitted, and finally refurbished by the seasoned in-house engineering team. It’s worth mentioning that Emirates will continue to offer unmatched onboard experience in its aircraft as well.

Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline mentions that the latest Business Class cabin offers customers a sense of exclusivity and privacy. It is complemented by their best-in-class suite of onboard products. Additionally, the popular Premium Economy cabin, which has been rated one of the best in the industry, adds modern sophistication to the flying experience.

These Aircraft Have Been Refurbished

It’s worth mentioning that Boeing 777 had entered into refurbishment earlier in July with a planned configuration of the aircraft. This was done to make way for the new Premium Economy Cabin, which comprises 24 seats in three rows in a 2-4-2 abreast layout. The leather seats are accentuated by the wood panel finishing across the cabin. For enhanced comfort, a 38-inch pitch and 19.5-inch wide seat with a recline of up to 8 inches is offered to the customers.

Coming to the new business class, it is set in a warm inviting cable that features enhanced privacy for customers. The cabin seats and colour have been enhanced to echo the light in every design element, and the soft leather cream seats, which is extended with champagne trim, lighter wood panelling, and modern technology touches for delivering function and luxury. With 38 seats in a 1-2-1 configuration, each of these wide seats converts into a spacious flatbed with a recline of up to 78.6 inches. In fact, the seats also boast a padded headrest for enhanced comfort. With a touchscreen seat controller for a relaxed in-flight entertainment experience, you can catch up on all the newest movies on the 23-inch HD screen.

It was mentioned that another Boeing 777 aircraft will be refurbished by the airline to deliver the best in industry products. The airline will then be deployed to Tokyo Haneda and Brussels in the next few weeks.
