Well, that’s exactly the bizarre situation authorities in England are investigating after a massive Guinness beer heist in Cheshire.
70,000 Pints Of Guinness Stolen In England
According to NDTV, more than 800 barrels of Guinness were stolen from an industrial estate in Runcorn, near Liverpool, in what sounds like something straight out of a movie. The stolen beer is estimated to be worth around £115,000 (approximately ₹1.5 crore).
The theft took place at the Whitehouse Industrial Estate on Aston Lane in Runcorn. According to Cheshire Police, two separate trailers loaded with Guinness were taken within a couple of hours.
Police said the first trailer was stolen around 7:45 PM, and another was taken later that evening. Together, the trailers were carrying more than 800 barrels of Guinness, enough to make roughly 70,000 pints of the famous dark stout.
The trailers themselves were also stolen, taking the total value of the haul to around £205,000 when the vehicles and beer were combined.

Where Did All That Beer Go?
That’s the big question authorities are now trying to answer.
Police are investigating the theft and have appealed to the public for information, particularly anyone who may have been driving through the area around the time of the incident. Dashcam footage could also help investigators trace the stolen trailers.
The two trailers reportedly left the area in different directions, with one heading towards the Mersey Gateway and the other travelling towards Rainhill and Watkinson Way.
The stolen Guinness was reportedly destined for pubs, making this quite the unusual supply-chain heist. Authorities are now working to recover the beer and identify those responsible.
And while the idea of 70,000 pints of Guinness disappearing overnight sounds almost unbelievable, police are taking the case seriously. As investigators continue their search, one thing is certain: this beer delivery definitely didn’t reach the pubs it was meant for.
