Carluccio’s the city’s famous Italian restaurant has launched a new menu. ‘Giro’- Italian for ’round’ is the name of the new menu and there’s a reason behind it too. The new menu offers unlimited rounds of pizza and pasta dishes at a fixed price. The Giro menu will be available every Tuesday from 6pm starting 12 November.
The offer is available at all Carluccio’s outlets and is priced at AED 89 (Dubai price) or AED 99 (Eastern Mangroves, Abu Dhabi price). Children under 11 years eat for free. And if you wish to sip on unlimited beverages pay up AED 139. Head to the branches at Mirdif City Centre and Springs Souk, and chefs will even toss the carbonara in a Grana Padano cheese wheel.

Meanwhile, if you wish to binge on more, head to Alice at La Mer. The place serves pizza by weight, staying true to the Roman tradition. You won’t find the cliche round pizzas here, as the restaurant chops pizzas in slices of squares. Each pizza is priced based on the weight. This means you can eat small slices of different flavors for a true pizza tasting, or a large amount of your favourite flavour. How cool is that! And if you’ve found the perfect pizza, you can go back to the counter and they will bake it all in a jiffy.
The pizzas are drenched in a generous portion of tomato sauce and are then loaded with a range of toppings. The Margherita, Truffle Cream and Mushroom are a safe bet. However, if you are up for some adventure on your plate go for the Potato with Rosemary or Bacon. They also serve a range of spicy cuts including Aubergines cooked in a spicy sauce, and cheese-pepper.
