Michelin Guide Abu Dhabi 2024 is finally out and it has presented its second edition of recommended restaurants in Abu Dhabi. Yes, and Erth, a renowned name in the slew of restaurants in the capital has also earned a Michelin Star. As it happens, the restaurant has joined the other three names that had previously been recognised with the star in last year’s inaugural guide.

Erth has been awarded a Michelin Star during the second edition of Michelin Guide Abu Dhabi 2024. As it happens, it has joined the three other restaurants that were recognised with a star in the previous year. Yes, this is an Emirati restaurant that operates from the heart of Abu Dhabi. Additionally, the names from the previous years include Antonio Guida, Hakkasan and 99 Sushi Bar, as they have also retained the stars that were received in the previous year’s inaugural guide. It should be noted that the guide was launched just last year (as mentioned above) and these restaurants have been recognised by anonymous inspectors from the Michelin Guide.

So, the diversity of the culinary scene in Abu Dhabi featuring 21 types of cuisine makes it quite impressive. In fact, two other restaurants also received the Bib Gourmand distinction for their good food and moderate prices. As a result, it has brought the total number to 6, as four establishments received this award last year. Restaurant, Al Mrzab, which is known for offering Emirati cuisine and Oii, which offers a slew of Mediterranean dishes also won this recognition. In case you’re wondering, the other names from the previous year already retained its Bib Gourmand award. Yes, take a look at them –

9 Eateries Added To The Michelin Guide

Coming to the Michelin guide, there are now nine eateries that were added to the guide this year. And the cuisines served at these restaurants range from Spanish and Malaysian to Argentinean and Emirati. These included the following names –
- Erth
- Ray’s Grill
- Yadoo’s House
- Maté
- José by Pizarro
- Terra
- Kopitiam By Chandy’s
- Al Farah
- Les Dangereux

Michelin Special Awards Also Given In Abu Dhabi

As it happens, Michelin Special Awards were also given to three recipients. Yes, this includes Chandran Thanggaraja, who owns the restaurant Kopitiam By Chandy’s, as he received the Service Award. While Les Dangereux, a restaurant by James Soo Young Kim received the Opening of the Year award and Rigers Cuka, from Oii won the Young Chef Award.
This sounds quite epic, doesn’t it? Well, The Michelin Guide’s selection of hotels has also revealed a slew of places that are not just unique but also exciting places where people can stay in Abu Dhabi and throughout the world. The selection of hotels chosen by the Michelin guide include some of the most popular names, such as the Park Hyatt, Rosewood, Andaz Capital Gate, W, Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, and EDITION.
