Etihad And FlyDubai Stop Flights To Tel Aviv Amid Growing Tension In Israel

The situation in Israel is worsening with passing days, with airstrikes and several losing their lives daily Israel- Palestine conflict is a humanitarian crisis. And keeping the circumstances in mind, UAE carriers Etihad Airways and FlyDubai have cancelled all their flights to Tel Aviv. The airlines join American and European airlines by doing so, and here’s everything you must know about it.

Etihad Airways Is Closely Monitoring The Current Situation In Israel 

Regular flights to Israel were launched a few months ago after UAE and Israel had signed a peace treaty. However, with the escalating situation, Abu Dhabi’s national carrier Etihad Airways has suspended all passenger and cargo services to Tel Aviv from Sunday. The notification about the same was updated on its website. The National airlines mentioned on its website,

“Etihad is monitoring the situation in Israel and continues to maintain close contact with authorities and security intelligence providers.”

UAE Expresses Concern Over The Escalating Violence In Israel And Palestine

Dubai’s low-cost carrier, FlyDubai, has also cancelled flights on Sunday though two flights operated on Saturday. The airline has recently conducted fewer than its scheduled four daily flights, citing a drop in demand. In terms of Emirates Airline, Dubai’s flagship carrier does not operate flights to Israel.

What is happening in Israel is quite disturbing, and HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, expressed the UAE’s concern over the escalating violence in Israel and Palestine and offered condolences to all victims of the recent fighting. UAE officials, along with America and Egypt call for peace and hope that the situation improves soon.
