Vikas Khanna Shares Heartbreaking Anecdote About A “Cold” Doctor
Taking to his Instagram handle on June 10, Vikas Khanna first shared a heartbreaking anecdote about his encounter with a “cold” doctor who broke his sister’s spirit. The chef revealed that he was ready to donate his kidney to his sister in 2022. But a doctor in Colombia, who remains unnamed, informed the chef that the transplant might kill him. In utter coldness, the doctor suggested his sister take morphine… and let go.

This was the moment that shattered Vikas and Radhika, whom the chef calls the “strongest person” he has ever known. He recollected that these heartbreaking words of the doctor broke the ailing sister’s spirit. She gave up and became very quiet. This broke Vikas Khanna, who couldn’t see his bubbly sister’s light dim.
He Reveals How Bungalow Is A Shrine For His Sister
Ever since that day, Vikas Khanna recollects carrying that pain with him. Not knowing where else to channel that love and grief, he poured it all into Bungalow, his restaurant in New York. For him, Bungalow is a space created to honour Radhika. To turn her absence into presence and to give her a home in this world. The doting brother shares that he will always be at Bungalow, her shrine.
