Many people who are stuck at their stinking dead-end job aren’t able to do much about it due to a plethora of reasons. However, this ex-mechanical engineer was able to quit his high-paying job and pursue his passion for travelling full-time. Stanley Aryanto now describes himself as an “engineer turned nomadic award-winning published and exhibited photographer, mentor and speaker.” Quite a mouthful, isn’t it? He said that the decision was risky and not easy.
Mechanical Engineer Quits ₹56 Lakh Job To Travel Full-Time
Stanley Aryanto said that though he had a job that paid him £55,000 (₹56 lacs), he still felt like something was amiss in his life. He always flirted with the idea of travelling around the world but says that he didn’t have the guts to call it quits.
Finally, at the age of 34, he decided to quit his job and pursue travelling full-time. Now, he’s pursuing travelling full-time and says that he feels fulfilled. Aryanto has said that one of his biggest regrets in life is not pursuing his passion sooner. Now he intends to help other people find their calling.
He said that the decision hasn’t been easy and has been full of struggles, but he hasn’t regretted quitting his job to live out of a suitcase. As a self-described mentor, he aims to help people find the same fulfilment that he has found in his life.

Some Of His Favourite Moments
Since photography has always been Aryanto passion, he now makes a living by selling his prints online. He also takes mentorship classes to guide people through their journey. When asked about what some of his favourite moments were, he said that it was being able to witness a comet that would only appear after 6,800 years next. He also says that being able to witness the northern lights was one of his favourite moments.
