Lace-up season is almost here. The Community Run at Ripe Market is back for its ninth edition, with six race days spread across the cooler months at Dubai Police Academy Park.
When Are The Race Days?
The series runs from October 2026 to May 2027, and every race takes place on a Sunday. The dates are:
- October 4, 2026, from 7am
- December 13, 2026, from 7am
- January 10, 2027, from 6pm
- February 14, 2027, from 6pm
- March 14, 2027, from 7am
- May 2, 2027, from 6pm
That mix of morning and evening slots means you can choose the timing that suits your schedule and the weather. The run kicks off the season on October 4, so there is not long to wait.
Which Distance Should You Pick?
The route winds through the Ripe Market grounds and offers four distances: 2.5km, 5km, 10km and 15km. The run has no age or fitness restrictions, which makes it open to everyone. Kids are welcome too, so it works as a family outing as much as a fitness challenge.
How Much Does It Cost?
Registration prices depend on the distance you choose:
- 2.5km: AED 116
- 5km: AED126
- 10km: AED137
- 15km: AED 156
If you plan to run more than once, there is a AED 600 package that gives you access to all six races.
How To Register
Spots tend to fill up quickly, so it is best to sign up early. Registrations are open on the Visit Dubai website, where you can pick your race date and distance.
What Happens After The Finish Line
You do not have to head straight home after the run. There is a post-run celebration, along with family-friendly entertainment and the market’s usual weekend atmosphere. That means you can cool down with a coffee, browse the stalls and pick up some shopping before you leave.
