Explore Mysuru In A 15-Ft Tall Open Roof Double Decker Bus For ₹250 Per Person

Mysuru is a historically rich place that offers a wealth of experience for those who wish to learn about this famous place. From the majestic Mysuru Palace, divine Shri Chamundeshwari Temple to the Karanji Lake, there’s alot to explore here.  To promote tourism in this area, the Tourism Minister will start Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC) 15-ft.-tall double-decker bus, which will take tourists around Mysuru. Also, the cherry on the cake is that the tickets cost only ₹250 per person. Let’s find out more.

Take A Mysuru Tour On The Open Roof Double Decker Ambaari Bus

Ambaari is an open-roof custom-built double-decker bus that rolled of its wheels on March 2. This bus will take the tourists on an experience around the city which is filled with architectural marvels. Taking inspiration from London’s Big Bus Tours, KSTDC  launched Ambaari at Hotel Radisson Blu at 5.30 pm. The Minister for Tourism C.P. Yogeshwar flagged off the bus, enhancing the city’s tourism sector.

Tour Mysuru Zoo, St Philomena’s,  Mysuru Palace In This Adventurous Bus

The bus service will start from Hotel Mayura in Hoysala and pass through the DC’s office, Crawford Hall, Kukkarahalli Lake, University of Mysore, Folklore Museum, Ramaswamy Circle, around Mysuru Palace, Mysuru Zoo, Karanji Lake, Sangolli Rayana Circle, Chamundi Vihar Stadium, St Philomena’s Church, Bannimantap, railway station and back to the starting point. As mentioned above, the tickets are priced at ₹250 per person.

The KSTDC has worked with other departments like the Forest department and the Electricity department to make the experience as smooth as possible. The Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation realigned its transmission lines along the route, and the Forest Department has pruned several tree branches to facilitate the smooth movement of the 15-feet tall bus. Tourists will also get an audio guide when the bus reaches the tourist sites identified on the route. The audio will be available in two languages in the beginning — Kannada, and English. The KSTDC plans to add more languages as well. This bus service was delayed due to the COVID situation, but currently, the KSTDC plans to operate two buses in Hampi.
