The director flew all the way to Dubai to shoot a cooking video with the one and only Rakhi. From talking about their past projects to sharing fun stories, the video is indeed a hilarious rollercoaster. Farah and Rakhi cooked delicious Maa Ki Dal. They relished the dish with Baap Ke Chawal.
Though they did not prepare the chawal, the actor has shared the recipe in brief. The humble combination of dal chawal is always a classic favourite and if you wish to make these dishes at home, here’s how to cook them.
These Are The Recipes For Maa Ki Dal & Baap Ke Chawal
Ingredients:
- Onion
- Tomato
- Garlic
- Ginger
- Green chilli
- Coriander leaves
- Jeera
- Pink salt
- Red chilli powder
- Turmeric powder
- Arhar dal
- Chana dal
- Water
Recipe:
- Wash and soak arhal dal and chana dal.
- Take a pan and add mustard oil. Temper jeera and saute chopped onion. Fry till onion pieces become perfectly red.
- Next, add chopped garlic, julienne ginger, and chopped tomatoes and cook for some time.
- Sprinkle some pink salt.
- Add dal to the sauteed veggies and pour water according to the dal quantity and desired consistency.
- Next, add red chilli powder and turmeric powder and let everything cook well.
- Once the dal is softened and the gravy is cooked well, serve it hot.
Rakhi Sawant has also shared a simple recipe for cooking a chawal preparation.
Ingredients:
- Rice
- Ghee
- Bay leaves
- Cinnamon
- Cardamom
- Black Pepper
- Soybeans
- Water
Recipe:
- Start by tempering bay leaves, cinnamon, cardamom, and black pepper in ghee. You can also toss a few cashew nuts.
- Next, add soaked rice to the spices. Add water and boil rice.
- Add some soybeans as well and cook nicely.
- Once rice and soybeans soften well, the dish is ready to be served.
