Central Railways To Run 30 Special Trains
India’s holiday season began on October 15 with Navratri. In October and November, Navratri, Dussehra, Diwali, and Chhath will be observed. It is becoming more and more difficult for people to purchase train tickets when they travel to their hometowns to celebrate these festivities.
With the increased demand throughout the holiday season, Central Railway will operate up to 30 special passenger trains. The trains include CSMT – Nagpur Bi-Weekly Superfast Special (20 services) and Nagpur-Pune Weekly Superfast Special (10 services).
These holiday special trains feature 16 air-conditioned, 3-tier economy classes and two generator trucks. The train stops at these destinations:
- Dadar
- Thane
- Kalyan
- Nashik Road
- Manmad
- Bhusaval
- Malkapur
- Shegaon
- Akola
- Murtijapur
- Badnera
- Dhamangaon
- Wardha

1. KSRTC Dussehra Offer
In response to public demand, the Mangaluru division of the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) will offer special package excursions during Dussehra from October 15 to 24. While city Volvo and JNNURM buses will be used for the Mangaluru Darshana package, Karnataka Sarige buses will be used for the package excursions between Mangaluru and Madikeri and between Mangaluru and Kolluru, and JNNURM buses for the Panchadurga Darshana package.
2. APSRTC Offers 10% Discount On Fare During Dussehra
If passengers want to reserve their return trip, they will receive a 10% discount on the ticket for both up and down trips. From October 13 to October 26, the APSRTC will operate 5,500 customised buses. Important cities in the adjacent States, such as Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Chennai, would run special buses back.
3. Air India Offer On Flights To Europe
A tempting offer from Air India has been made public in an effort to draw travellers during the approaching holiday season. The prestigious airline is now offering inexpensive round-trip flights to Europe, with all-inclusive rates starting at just ₹40,000. Moreover, one-way tickets for nonstop flights to well-known European locations cost ₹25,000.
