Finland Tops The List To Become The World’s Happiest Country Of 2022

We work hard, eat well, take care of our health and do so much for ourselves only to be happy and healthy always. And not only us, but every country around the world also focus on being happy, since the key to having a good life is happiness. And with that said, United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network publishes a report every year, and they have announced the happiest countries in the world. And for the year 2022, the World Happiness Report is out. And as per the report, Finland has topped the list for the fifth year in a row.

Top Three Spots In The World Happiness Report 2022 Was Bagged By The Scandinavian Nations

The World Happiness Report is made on two key factors- happiness or life evaluation measured through opinion surveys and identifying key elements that determine well-being and life evaluation across countries. The report, which was released on Friday, has rankings of national happiness, and it is based on several factors.

The UN report ranks around 150 countries, and it’s based on factors like real GDP per capita, social support, healthy life expectancy, freedom to make life choices, generosity, and perceptions of corruption. And each of these factors is ranked on a scale of 0-10. And this year, the report ranked 146 countries.

India Jumped Three Ranks Up From The Last Year And Ranked 136 This Year

For the top three countries in the World Happiness Report, the top three spots were bagged by the Scandinavian nations. Denmark bagged the second position whereas Iceland came third. Switzerland and Netherlands made it to the top-five list.

And when it comes to India, the country saw an improvement and jumped three spots to 136, from 139 a year ago. On the other hand, Afghanistan was ranked as the most unhappy country. It was followed by Lebanon and Zimbabwe. Russia and Ukraine were ranked 80 and 98, respectively. The 2022 rankings, however, were compiled before Russia, on February 24, attacked Ukraine.
